Everyday life in the city is not always an easy task. What could be better for a smooth transition to the Athens routine than a walk to Vouliagmeni? A romantic dinner in Ithaca, a brunch with friends at the Four Seasons Mercato or even a solitary drink at Avra Bar overlooking the sea will surely act as a stress reliever.
In the center of the city, the events, musical and visual, continue. The Theocharakis Foundation’s exhibition on the painter Michalis Oikonomou deserves our attention, while good options for fans of Megaron The Athens Concert Hall are the appearance of Dora Bakopoulos on 5/15 and Theodoros Kourentzis on 5/20 and 5/21. As the weather warms up, we can certainly spend a wonderful evening for dinner at the Dolli’s Hotel rooftop restaurant, with perhaps the best view towards the Acropolis or the enchanting urban garden of Balthazar.
But also, in Petralona, in a completely different mood, one can have a delicious meal at the Taverna Oikonomou, which really pleasantly surprised us! Further north, the gardens of both Albion and Cash are always a reason for a night out.
Between the Easter holidays and the Holy Spirit, no one could resist a shot of sea breeze bound for Hydra. Aristocratic yet welcoming, charming but not far away, a stone’s throw from Athens awaits us to enjoy it. The marina in the port, the mansions and the walks in the picturesque straits, the view from Windmill Hydra Bar, the drinks in Amalour and the nice food in Techne, Caprice and Casta are just a few of the things that invite us to the island.
Wherever we are, we put on our best mood, Fora scarves and pareos and enjoy life. Because life is always beautiful and colorful.
